After finding out about a German version of the original Tilde by Paul Ford, Helix rented a web server in 2018 to provide public services like a shell account. After switching the server OS to Debian, the admins decided to start anew and after notifying the users that they could get a backup of their files, set up a new version with Ansible. One of the tilde.fun users created an SSH registration script, but they're currently (2021-08-11) not using it.
